Program Le jeudi 23 février 2023, les agriculteur.rice.s retenu.e.s pour la multiplication expérimentale de 26 espèces herbacées d’origine locale ont pu participer à la deuxième journée technique (suite à celle du 22/02) organisée par FAB’LIM et le CEN Occitanie à Pompignan chez Christophe Bernier (30), écologue et producteur engagé dans les chantiers de multiplication du projet Fleurs Locales.
Description Animée par Victor Basly (Semence Nature), cette journée s’inscrit dans la continuité de l’accompagnement réalisé par le semencier dans le cadre de du projet. Victor Basly a tout d’abord introduit en rappelant l’intérêt écologique de planter des fleurs sauvages, puis exposé les différentes étapes qui précèdent la plantation des mini-mottes (collecte en milieu naturel, de traitement et comptage des semences, tests de germination et semis sur plaques alvéolées) puis a présenté la marque Végétal Local. Nous avons également visité les parcelles de Christophe Bernier, dont certaines surfaces sont préparées pour la mise en terre des mini-mottes. Chaque agriculteur.rice a reçu de la documentation pédagogique pour faciliter les travaux de multiplication : se verra remettre des fiches espèces, un plan de culture ainsi qu’un tableau de suivi de culture pour et une feuille de note leur permettant d’optimiser la mise en culture et de noter leurs observations - l’objectif étant de connaître la réaction de ces espèces lorsqu’elles sont mises en production. Plusieurs d’entre eux ont, à l’occasion, pu réceptionner les mini-mottes d’espèces qu’ils et elles auront à planter.
Les attentes des participants étaient : obtenir un apport technique sur les méthodes de multiplication et rencontrer des agriculteurs et agricultrices engagé.e.s et motivé.e.s par un projet de reconquête de biodiversité. Les échanges ont été très riches et le réseau dynamique de producteur.rice.s se constitue (mise en place d’un groupe de conversation partagée pour échanger les observations et les questionnements, volonté de visites des différents terrains, prise d’initiatives, etc.)

L’après-midi, ouvert au public, s’est déroulé en trois temps avec une présentation autour de la production de Végétal Local (présentation de la marque Végétal Local et de l’intérêt des végétaux locaux pour la restauration de la biodiversité et technique de production) ainsi qu'une visite de la parcelle de Christophe Bernier où seront implantées les mini-mottes. Les participants ont pu échanger avec Christophe sur les initiatives de multiplications de igneux déjà mises en place, ainsi que l’approche naturaliste mises en place dans la tenue des parcelles (conservation des certaines espèces, mise en place de haie de bois contre les ravageurs, protection d’espèces protégées, et notamment d’amphibiens rares, etc.)

Description Dans un objectif d'un redéploiement du pastoralisme sur son territoire, la métropole de Montpellier a mis à disposition du Conservatoire d’espaces naturels une parcelle d'un hectare sur le Domaine de Viviers (34). Le but est d’y instaurer, dans le cadre du projet Fleurs Locales, une prairie naturelle méditerranéenne à base de semences natives.
Afin de restaurer cette parcelle l’équipe du #CENOccitanie a testé 2 techniques :
- la récolte de foin vert dans une prairie à proximité et son épandage, opération effectuée en juin dernier
- le brossage de prairies pour en récolter des mélanges de graines à semer.
Cette semaine l’équipe a semé ces graines récoltées, d'abord au distributeur à engrais puis à la main.
L'évènement a eu lieu en présence des semenciers prestataires pour le brossage, de responsables de la métropole et de la commune de Clapiers.

Une vidéo explicative de la récolte par brossage sera produite dans les mois à venir.

Description Le CEN Occitanie est intervenu aux Journées-ateliers nationales REVER - Réseau d'échanges et de valorisation en écologie de la restauration à Bagnères-de-Bigorre. Ces journées ont été organisées en collaboration avec le CBNPMP.
Nous avons présenté les objectifs et premiers résultats du projet SUDOE "Fleurs locales" deux années après son démarrage.
Dans un premier temps :
- Les premières observations des semis expérimentaux sur les cinq sites pilotes situés dans l'Hérault et le Gard ;
- Les pistes d'amélioration : comment optimiser les mélanges et les procédés ?
- Mise en évidence d'une liste restreinte d'espèces pertinentes pour une restauration rapide des prairies pérennes méditerranéennes.
Puis :
- Premières approches de structuration d'une filière de production de semences locales dans la partie méditerranéenne de la région Occitanie ;
- Premiers partenariats engagés pour l'accompagnement des territoires en faveur de stratégies territoriales de renaturation à partir de semences locales.

Program 4 jours d'animation autour de 2 000 animaux de haut niveau génétique, 1 500 exposants spécialisés dans le domaine de l'élevage. Conférences, animations sur les thématiques agricoles, concours des produits fermiers, de l'innovation en agriculture...
Description A l'occasion du Sommet de l'élevage à Cournon (du 3 au 7 Octobre 2022), le CEN Occitanie a co-animé une conférence avec le CEN Auvergne afin de partager les enseignements des projets SUDOE Fleurs Locales (mené en Occitanie Méditerranéenne) et Semences Locales (mené en Auvergne).

Cette intervention s'adressait principalement à des éleveurs et s'est logiquement concentrée sur les prairies naturelles. Après avoir rappelé la richesse écologique et agricole qu'elles représentent :
- valeur fourragère en comparaison notamment avec celle des prairies artificielles,
- muliplicité des services éco-systémiques qu'elles fournissent (réservoir de biodiversité, filtration et stockage d'eau, stockage carbone, etc.),
- résilience face aux aléas climatiques;

l'intervention s'est poursuivi en abordant le potentiel économique que représentent les prairies naturelles à la flore diversifiée dans les filières de production de semences herbacées végétal local. En, effet, elles peuvent constituer des parcelles sources pour de la collecte de graines en mélange (par brossage ou par moisson).

En fonction de la rareté et de la diversité de la flore qui compose une prairie donnée, un agriculteur peut espérer vendre sa récolte à un semencier entre 10 et 20 euros/kg de graines. En fonction des sites à renaturer, ces graines seront ensuite assemblées par les semenciers avec d'autres mélanges et/ou des espèces cultivées monospécifiquement.

Une raison de plus pour préserver ces précieux habitats et une perspective intéressante pour inciter des agriculteurs à s'impliquer dans les filières de production de semences herbacées végétal local en Auvergne et en Occitanie en tant que fournisseurs de graines!

Description Le 16/12/2022, nous avons co-organisé avec le CEN Occitanie, un webinaire sur le thème : Comment trouver aujourd'hui les leviers pour répondre demain aux besoins de renaturation à partir de plantes herbacées indigènes d'origine locale ? (48 participants). L'occasion de revenir sur l'avancée de nos travaux de production de végétaux locaux sous label Végétal Local, mais aussi d'amorcer de premiers échanges autour de la création d’une structure à gouvernance partagée en Occitanie, en soutien à l'émergence d'une filière semences herbacées sous label végétal local en zone méditerranéenne.
Lors de ce webinaire, nous avons pu compter sur la présence de Laura Garcia Pierna de la Fundación Global Nature en Espagne. Celle-ci est intervenue dans le webinaire pour relater les expérimentations de récolte en mélange et réensemencement conduites par sa structure en Espagne et mettre en perspective les avancées de l'étude économique en France (freins et opportunités) avec les réflexions qu'anime actuellement la Fundación Global Nature en Espagne.

Ce webinaire nous a permis de repérer des professionnels intéressés pour échanger sur le modèle économique souhaitable de l'entreprise porteuse du projet collectif de filière, mais aussi des structures de l'économie sociale et solidaire intéressées pour co-construire la charte d'usage des semences qui seront produites à l'issue de nos chantiers de multiplication monospécifique. Ceci a donné lieu à la création de 2 groupes de travail dont nous poursuivons l’animation.

Dans la communication autour du webinaire, nous avons demandé aux participants de remplir un questionnaire. La comparaison des informations collectées entre avant et après le webinaire nous a permis de cerner la contribution des contenus présentés au renforcement de la connaissance des participants : sur le cahier des charges Végétal Local, sur les méthodes existantes pour produire des mélanges de semences herbacées labellisées Végétal Local, et sur les contraintes liées à la production ou à l'achat et l'utilisation de mélanges de semences herbacées labellisées Végétal Local. Cela nous a aussi permis de cerner si, suite au webinaire, les personnes concernées identifiaient mieux comment intégrer les végétaux locaux dans leurs activités de restauration écologique et si le webinaire leur avait donné envie de se lancer dans la production, la prescription, l'achat ou l'utilisation de végétaux locaux. Ces résultats nous ont été utiles dans le cadre de nos travaux d’évaluation in itinere.

Un prochain webinaire sera organisé courant avril 2023 pour présenter les résultats de l’étude économique et faire la synthèse des livrables disponibles sur ce yeswiki.

Program Le mercredi 22 février 2023, les agriculteurs et agricultrices retenu(e)s pour la multiplication expérimentale de 26 espèces herbacées d’origine locale ont pu participer à une première journée technique organisée par FAB’LIM et le CEN Occitanie sur le Domaine de Mirabeau à Fabrègues (34). Ce site, “Pôle d'Excellence Agroécologique et Sociale”, accueille plusieurs activités agricoles (polyculture, élevage) pour développer des pratiques agroécologiques et sociales innovantes.
Description Animée par Victor Basly (Semence Nature), cette journée a permis aux participants de recevoir toutes les informations nécessaires à la mise en culture des mini-mottes sur leurs parcelles. Victor Basly a tout d’abord introduit en rappelant l’intérêt écologique de planter des fleurs sauvages, puis exposé les différentes étapes qui précèdent la plantation des mini-mottes (collecte en milieu naturel, de traitement et comptage des semences, tests de germination et semis sur plaques alvéolées) puis a présenté la marque Végétal Local. Nous avons également visité les parcelles de David Lashley et Fanny Valadier des Jardins de Cocagne Mirabeau, qui sont mises à disposition pour la multiplication des semences herbacées locales. Chaque agriculteur.rice a reçu de la documentation pédagogique pour faciliter les travaux de multiplication : des fiches espèces, un plan de culture ainsi qu’un tableau de suivi de culture pour noter leurs observations - l’objectif étant de connaître la réaction de ces espèces lorsqu’elles sont mises en production. Plusieurs d’entre eux ont, à l’occasion, reçu leurs plants (les autres seront livrés dans les semaines à venir).
Les attentes des participants étaient : obtenir un apport technique sur les méthodes de multiplication et rencontrer des agriculteurs et agricultrices engagé.e.s et motivé.e.s par un projet de reconquête de biodiversité. Les échanges ont été très riches et le réseau dynamique de producteur.rice.s se constitue (mise en place d’un groupe de conversation partagée pour échanger les observations et les questionnements, volonté de visites des différents terrains, prise d’initiatives, etc.)

L’après-midi, ouvert à un public plus large, mais toujours professionnel, s’est déroulé en trois temps avec une présentation autour de la production de Végétal Local (présentation de la marque Végétal Local et de l’intérêt des végétaux locaux pour la restauration de la biodiversité et technique de production), un atelier sur les freins et leviers à l’achat de semences locales et, de nouveau, une visite de la parcelle où seront implantées les mini-mottes. Les participants ont ainsi pu découvrir l’exploitation maraichère et son fonctionnement en chantier d’insertion, visiter la nouvelle serre bioclimatique et échanger avec Fanny Valadier, responsable d’équipe, sur la structure.

Description Semillas Silvestres was presented as a collaborator in the Seed Ecology VII held between September 5 and 9, 2022 in Gijón. In this collaboration, we present the European project Fleurs Locales through a communication in poster format.
