Missions Among the institutional missions of the IPB are:
a) Applied scientific research and technological development;
b) The promotion of national and regional development through multiple forms of opening up to
community, from knowledge transfer, to participation in programs and projects;
c) Collaboration with other institutions.
Taking into account the mission, objectives and vision, the medium/long term strategy of the IPB is based on three essential pillars:
- Deep commitment to liaison with Companies and the Community in order to promote
national and regional development;
- Reinforcement of Scientific and Technological Cooperation Networks, both internationally and nationally;
- Reinforcement of the institution's scientific capacity and the quality of the actions developed in the various fields of activity.
